The park and presidents....

Our time in yellowstone was great! We were greeted almost immediately with about 20 bison crossing the road and holding up traffic. We had some difficulties sleeping in a tent which ended up with us waking up in the car. We saw old faithful, a few other hot springs and drove all over the park. We spotted a grizzly bear, bison, bull elk and longhorn sheep. We also saw plenty of snow. After yellowstone we stayed in Cody, Wyoming and enjoyed some true western food. Yesterday we did a lot of driving. We drove from Cody to Hill City, South Dakota. We were planning on camping and going to the light ceremony but that soon changed when we got caught in a hail storm. We ended up staying in a motel and seeing mt Rushmore this morning. It was beautiful. We walked all around and saw everything possible. We are now on our way through South Dakota. We aren't sure how long we are going to go or what our next stop will be so stay tuned....

5 states in 2 days

So since we left off we have officially left California. We drove to Boise yesterday and stayed near Boise state. We went to a famous breakfast spot called goldys. We love to try the local favorites. Today we have been on the oad to yellowstone. We are camping and hope not to get hit by the storm or eaten by a bear. We have seen a lof of cows. We will be touring yellowstone tomorrow and seeing old faithful. We have been trying to find an apt in ct on our drive. We don't have one yet but hope to soon.

And the adventures begin....

So after about 6 hours of packing our pad was in boxes and in the moving truck. We left manhattan beach around 3pm and drove up north. We made a stop for dinner at freebirds in isla vista, santa barbara and We stayed the night in San Luis obispo. We woke up early and went to Hearst castle where we did most of our touring in the gift shop as the tours were expensive. We then headed to big sur and went on a couple of short hikes where we saw waterfalls, trees, streams and extremely pretty views of the pacific. We then headed to Carmel and had lunch in a super cute area. We are now en route to Sacramento to see Katies aunt and cousin. Tomorrow we are attempting to drive to Boise. Tommy said that I have been a great navigator and I have only slept for 30 mins. Stay tuned......
